Colombia is the largest Latin American market population outside of Brazil and Mexico. Unlike Brazil, Colombia welcomes imports without protectionist barriers, offering a far easier business environment. The World Bank Doing Business 2012 report ranks Colombia third over the fourteenth-place Brazil in comparison for best country in Latin America. The Latin Business Index ranks Colombia as the sixth-best, placing over Brazil (eleventh-place).

  • Get an overview of the commercial and economic environment in Colombia and Latin America
  • Gain knowledge about the U.S.--Colombia Free Trade Agreement
  • Hear about key market trends, most recent developments, and hot sectors for exports
  • Learn about the growing economies in the region and why companies are eager to do business with U.S. firms
  • Ask about potential business connections for Illinois companies
  • Learn how to get funding for your business efforts in Latin America through our NEW Gateway to Latin America grant
  • Meet one-on-one with the speakers after the presentation
