Travel Study Germany

Program Description:

The SIUE School of Business Travel Study to Germany will include visits to Hannover, Berlin, and Munich.  Visit the German university, Hochschule in Hannover as you enhance your understanding of international business.  Then, explore the German capital and immerse yourself in the culture and life that is Berlin.  Finally, spend the final days of the program in Munich, home of the BMW Headquarters, and experience a true global business hub.  In addition, participating students will be enrolled in GBA 489 or MBA 595 for three credit hours.

Locations & Travel Dates:

The Germany Travel Study will take place May 14-24, 2018. Students will visit Hannover, Berlin, and Munich.

Applications are due by November 27th, 2017 by 4:30pm.

4. Follow the instructions and complete the checklist of each application piece associated with your program

5. Submit your online application as soon as possible, but no later than 4:30 pm on November 27th. Please also make sure the faculty member has submitted your recommendation by that time.

Travel Study Costs:

The cost will be $3,300 for students participating in the Germany Travel Study.

Included:  Airfare, Transportation between destinations in Germany, Lodging, Opening & Closing dinners

Not included:  Most meals, SIUE Tuition & Fees, Local Transportation, and Incidental expenses

1st Payment will be due December 1st ($1,650)
2nd Payment will be due January 11th ($1,650)

Credit & Course Requirements:

Students will be enrolled in GBA 489 or MBA 595 for three credit hours. The course is taught in seminar format and students will be reviewed based on the value they add to the course. Students will be required to attend 3 to 4 mandatory pre-trip class meetings and possibly 1 post-trip meeting.

To participate in the Germany Travel Study, students must meet the following requirements:

- Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students in good standing at SIUE
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Priority will be given to School of Business students
