Study in Italy

Our partner university, The University of Torino (UNITO), was founded in 1404 and is one of the largest and most prestigious Italian universities. In the 18th and 19th century, famous mathematicians, physicists, and chemists like Luigi Lagrange, Amedeo Avogadro, Ascanio Sobrero, and Giuseppe Peano either attended or were teachers at the University of Torino. The University of Torino organizes courses in all disciplines and has a remarkable research tradition in history, philosophy, law, economics, sciences and medicine but it is currently branching out into international and social policies studies, technologies of information and communication, and nanotechnologies.

Torino lies at the centre of Piemonte, the 'land at the foot of the mountain.' It is surrounded by the Alps, the Olympic Mountains, as well as by hills and various national parks. It is conveniently connected to many charming places in the vicinity and it is only two hours away from the seaside. Torino is an ideal destination thanks to its access roads and efficient transport systems that provide excellent land and air links from the main Italian and European cities. A dynamic industrial and commercial city, Torino boasts a wide variety of cultural and educational opportunities. The city of Torino also houses some of the major academic and research institutions in Italy.
