Practical AI for Everyday Work
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm (CDT)
Instructor: Office Productivity
Fee: $ 250 (Includes all course materials and parking)
Course Description (Half-day program)
Many people are hearing about AI but are not sure how it fits into their day-to-day work. This hands-on session focuses on practical, low-risk ways to use AI to handle routine tasks, reduce busywork, and save time on the work you are already responsible for. No technical background is required.
You will learn how to use AI to draft emails, organize notes, summarize information, and work through tasks more efficiently. You will also see how AI can help you think through problems, organize ideas, and plan next steps, while you remain in control of decisions and final results.
The focus is not on a specific tool. Instead, you will learn simple, repeatable ways to use AI that work across different tools and can be applied right away.
Through real-world examples, you will practice turning messy notes into action steps, improving communication, making sense of information, and getting started faster on everyday work. Participants will work through common workplace scenarios such as emails, meeting notes, reports, and simple data summaries.
You will also learn when to review and adjust AI results, along with clear, practical guidelines for using AI safely with workplace information, including what should and should not be shared. Participants will learn how to apply these approaches within their organization’s approved AI tools and policies.
