Remedial:
Remedial courses may be waived by proficiency exam or by the Admissions Committee based on the applicant’s academic record. The following courses are pre-program requirements. None counts in the hours required for the MS degree.
- ACCT 200/501 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
In addition, the following three courses must be completed with a grade of B or higher in each:
- MS251 Statistical Analysis for Business Decisions
- ECON 301 or 528 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory
- ECON 302 Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory
Core:
- EC/FIN 400 Quantitative Methods for Economic and Business Analysis
- EC/FIN 415 Introduction to Econometrics (grade of B or higher required)
- ECON 501 Advanced Microeconomic Theory (grade of B or higher required)

Select a focus in either applied economics or finance:
Focus in Applied Economics (courses subject to approval of Econ grad adviser):
