Graduates who work in private industry and government agencies may be employed as managerial or cost accountants or as internal auditors. Appropriate professional certifications within this segment of the accounting profession are Certified Management Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Based on their wide range of business exposure and knowledge, many accountants ultimately move into high-level management positions.
