The mission of the School of Business is to "prepare students and business professionals and to improve business practice." The SIUE School of Business is among only 28% of business programs throughout the world that are accredited through the AACSB. In addition to holding AACSB accreditation for our business programs, we also hold a separate accreditation through AACSB for our accounting programs. I encourage you to visit the AACSB website www.aacsb.edu to learn more about the rigorous standards used to insure that we are continuously monitoring and improving our business curricula. In addition to our undergraduate programs in Accounting, Economics and Finance, Computer Management and Information Systems and Business Administration, we offer Master's degrees in Business Administration, Marketing Research, Computer Management and Information Systems, and Economics and Finance. Explore the educational opportunities that we provide. With such a wide array of programs and degrees, I am sure you will find something that interests you.
The SIUE School of Business is especially proud to have over 20,000 alumni leading companies and public agencies such as The Boeing Company, Edward Jones, Price Waterhouse Coopers, KPMG, Mont Blanc, The Federal Reserve, and many others across the globe. Our alumni are also highly successful entrepreneurs and civic leaders. In addition to providing guidance to the School through our Advisory Board, many of our alumni provide exciting internship and cooperative education opportunities to our students.
Regionally, the SIUE School of Business serves as a resource through our continuing and executive education programs, as well as our outreach programs, that encourage entrepreneurship, facilitate trade and help small businesses grow. Our Small Business Development Center, a joint venture with the State of Illinois, provides seminars and workshops addressing topics important to business owners throughout the year. The International Trade Center, one of six trade centers in Illinois, provides businesses in Southern Illinois with services such as free export consultation, international market analysis, identification of foreign buyers and seminars on international business strategies.Like the world around us, the School of Business is constantly on the move. I encourage you to check back often to see the changes taking place. Thank you for visiting our website and please, feel free to contact us if you would like more information.
