Introduction to University Planning and Budget Council

The University Planning and Budget Council (UPBC) is a constituency-based group of 16 members that advise the Chancellor on matters related to the budget and allocation of future resources. The Council is composed of

• The immediate past-presidents of the Faculty and Staff Senates
• The sitting president of the student senate
• Students, faculty and staff members appointed by their respective senates
• The University’s budget director
• One dean
• The Chancellor

The UPBC meets regularly and through open and honest dialogue assists the Chancellor in guiding the financial planning of the University.
