Human Resources
- Payroll - For information on Department
Time Entry and Approval, proxies, look up DDU and Payroll forms, navigate to Payroll's web site. If further assistance is needed, call HR Payroll, x2190.
- Benefits - For information on reporting leave (vacation and sick leave), navigate to Benefit's web site. If further assistance is needed, call HR Benefits, ext. 2190.
- I do not have the access to all the Human Resources forms I need in Banner. The fiscal officer (or supervisor) should e-mail Joyree Chura and include a list of the requested forms and details of employee job responsibilities for the requested forms.
Student

access to all the student forms I need in Banner. The supervisor should e-mail Chris
Leopold and provide a list of the requested forms

FAQ'S
- When do I need to complete a Computer Account Request Form?
Answer: 1) You are requesting access to Banner for the first time. 2) You have access but need to add responsibilities. (i.e.; Access to Student and need to add HR Payroll.)

I forgot my password, cannot log in, or my account is locked.
Answer: Forgotten password - same as
e-ID password. If cannot remember, navigate to the e-ID maintenance page and
follow online instructions to change password.
Answer: Cannot log in (if not forgotten password or account
locked) - Call ITS Help Desk at x5500 or e-mail help@siue.edu.
Answer: My account is locked - E-mail oitaccts@siue.edu include name, e-ID and note that the account is locked.
Your account will be unlocked and you will be notified by e-mail
as soon as possible.

How
do I change my password in Banner (INBanner)?
Answer: Passwords are not changed in Banner. Banner password is maintained
with the e-ID. When the e-ID password is changed, your Banner password
is changed. Navigate to the e-ID maintenance page and follow online instructions
to change password.
- I have attended
training and it has been more than 2 business days since training and completing the Computer Account Request Form (CARF), but have not received my log in instructions.
Answer: E-mail oitaccts@siue.edu, include your name, e-id, date of training and date completed CARF was sent to ITS.
- I need additional
help navigating the forms I use.
Answer: Call ITS Helpdesk x5500 or e-mail help@siue.edu and they will refer
you to the appropriate individual.

- What is the difference
between Banner (INBanner) and Self Service Banner (CougarNet).
Answer: Banner (INBanner) allows user access to information
using Banner Forms based upon your responsibilities. You will use your e-id and password to access. Banner training is required prior to accessing INBanner.
Answer: Self Service
Banner (CougarNet), based on classification, allows students, faculty, and staff to access
their personal information; e.g.: faculty can see their class list, students can schedule their classes, employees can view pay stubs,
etc. You must know either your University
ID (8xxxxxxxx number) and PIN or your e-ID and
password to access.
