Dr. Julia Hansen and Dr. Lydia Jackson of the Lovejoy Library are interested in the information literacy skills of students entering SIUE. The main goal, they state, is to "identify a baseline or benchmark of information literacy skills new freshmen students demonstrate prior to receiving formal library instruction in the SIUE environment." This will be done through a questionnaire administered to New Freshman Seminar courses during the Fall 2007 semester.
