Complimentary tickets for SIUE students
The Student Experimental Theater Organization has been recognized as a viable, independent student organization for many years. SETO’s purpose is to produce theatrical performances and events that provide expanded opportunities for student growth in the area of theater performance and technology. Many of the plays produced by SETO are selected for the unusual and often, the unconventional challenges they provide to the membership. They are student directed, designed, and acted. SETO also participates in the American College Theater Festival Irene Ryan Awards, and students attend the annual Region 3 Conference in January.
SETO also serves as a vehicle for any University student interested in the theater arts to share ideas, experiences, and social functions that promote interpersonal communication and foster theater at the University level. As such, SETO is open to all registered SIUE students who enjoy theater or who wish to become involved in theater as an extension of their personal interests. SETO meets every other Tuesday afternoon in the Metcalf Theater. Students should see the Call Board in Dunham Hall across from the Box Office for more information about this organization.
