The Department of Speech Communication typically is able to support about 9 Teaching Assistants (TAs) each year. TAs typically teach 2 sections of the basic course (SPC 103 Interpersonal Communication Skills or SPC 105 Public Speaking Skills) per semester.

Completed assistantship applications and supporting materials must be submitted early in the spring semester preceding the academic year for which the appointment is desired.
