Dr. Nancy Huyck
Dr. Nancy L. Huyck is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration and Policy Analysis at SIUE. Nancy has earned a Master in Public Administration degree as well as a Doctorate of Public Administration degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield. She been teaching at the university level since 2006. Her courses consist of Public Personnel, HR Staffing, Training and Development as well as other electives as determined by the department.
Dr. Huyck holds public executive management experience with the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and has worked with the Illinois Department of Transportation Highways Operations Maintenance Division on various projects. Her professional research interests include program evaluation, public sector labor relations, radio interoperability, as well as communication theories as applied to public management. She has presented research for the Annual Teaching in Public Administration Conference in Olympia Washington.
Nancy lives in Granite City, Illinois with her husband Arnold and their Pomeranian, Bear. She enjoys spending time with her family, nature trails, scenic drives, and traveling.
