A strings only chamber orchestra which performs original works from a variety of periods and styles. Emphasis will be on increasing ensemble skills, improving intonation and orchestra discipline.
Violin students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 4 or above
Viola students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 3 or above
Cello students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 3 or above
Auditions ARE required for this group
Saturdays from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Founder’s Hall
A complete schedule of rehearsals will be handed out at the first meeting.
15 rehearsals per semester.
• 2 concerts per year. One in December and one in April (see our Calendar for details)
Cost: $ 200 per year for students NOT enrolled in the SIUE String Program
$20 non-refundable registration fee
