Maggie McCallie will be offering Suzuki flute lessons at SIUE beginning Fall 2011!

Maggie McCallie has lived in the St. Louis area her entire life. She has been actively performing in musicals for Shooting Star Productions and local schools for the past 5 years. She is a member of the Compton Heights Concert Band who performs Christmas concerts at Powell Symphony Hall as well as summer concerts at Tower Grove and Francis Parks in St. Louis. Maggie has also performed with the St. Louis Philharmonic, The St. Louis Children's Choirs, for The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis' Christmas concert, and with a wide variety of other St. Louis organizations. Along with performing, she is the private flute instructor at The Principia School and flute, clarinet, and saxophone teacher at Midwest Music Conservatory. Currently, Maggie's studio consists of 14 students. She also directs 4th-8th grade bands at Christ, Prince of Peace School in Manchester, MO. She received her B.A. in music from Principia College in 2005, and M.M. in flute performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Maggie studied Suzuki Flute in Lima, Peru with Kelly Williamson.
