Financial assistance is awarded to students who are pursuing music major or music minor degree programs at SIUE. The following guidelines apply:

To be eligible to receive a Provost or Talent Award, students must audition for, and be accepted by, the Department of Music. Audition information (dates, requirements, and application forms) is available from the SIUE Music Department Homepage ( www.siue.edu/artsandsciences/music), or by contacting the Department of Music Office at 618-650-3900. In addition, students must be accepted into the University in order to receive a financial award from the Music Department.

All students auditioning for entrance into the department are considered for financial awards; however, only auditions completed by the final posted audition date will be eligible for scholarship consideration. Auditions occurring after the final posted audition date will be for entrance consideration only, and not for scholarship consideration.
