 | A native of St. Louis, bass trombonist James A. Martin has distinguished himself as a musician of great range and flexibility. A former member of the Buddy Rich Band as well as the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale di Fiorentino, (Zubin Mehta music director; Florence, Currently Adjunct Professor of Music member at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (since 1990), he is a regular performer in the pit at the historic Fox Theater in St. Louis.
