He has also been a contributor to various music journals, dictionaries, and symposia, and has collaborated with Dmitry Feofanov on two books,
A Biographical Dictionary of Russian/Soviet Composers (Greenwood Press, 1989) and Shostakovich Reconsidered (Toccata Press, 1998). Professor Ho is currently compiling a comprehensive catalogue/discography of works for piano and orchestra, while building a sound archive of these works.
