The St. Louis Jazz Club - Essentially Ellington Regional Festival at SIUE
***2/17/17 UPDATE: All band slots are filled. We are no longer taking reservations for this year.***
The Essentially Ellington Regional Festival is an education-focused festival designed to offer high school jazz bands of all levels the opportunity to perform the music of Duke Ellington and other seminal big band composers and arrangers. Participating bands receive professional feedback from Jazz at Lincoln Center clinicians and other jazz professionals in their own backyard. This festival is a production of Jazz at Lincoln Center, the jazz studies program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and is made possible through the generous support of The St. Louis Jazz Club.
Your festival experience will include a 30-minute pre-performance clinic, an adjudicated performance with written comments from all the judges, a recording of your performance, a variety of clinics, and an evening concert featuring all bands, clinicians, and the SIUE Concert Jazz Band.
