Faculty Research & Teaching Excellence Support

Faculty research, teaching excellence, gifted students, and state-of-the-art equipment combine to create a truly outstanding learning environment. The recruitment and retention of a diverse, superior faculty helps CAS attract gifted students, which helps us raise the standards of achievement for all students.

Contributions offer assistance beyond the scope of state supported salaries to provide:

Books, videos, DVD’s, and slides for teaching and research projects;
Laboratory, classroom, and studio equipment for scholarly work and teaching;

• A student research assistant;
  Faculty training on the newest methods of testing, motivating, and mentoring students;
• Computer hardware and software for research and classrooms;
  Instruction on the use of technology for teaching;
• Off-campus conferences or campus workshops to expand skills, knowledge and new techniques for students or faculty;
• Networking with peers in a specific academic field for the presentation of scholarly work or research.

Giving is easy: Contributions to support Faculty Research and Teaching Excellence may be made by:

• Check made payable to the SIUE Foundation with the CAS printable mail-in form;
• Secure online credit card billing form (Discover, MasterCard, Visa accepted);
• Payroll deduction for SIUE employees.
