Research Interests: My research area is in biology education. This comprises the major problems and issues facing in-service and preservice science educators. Specialty areas are a) constructivist classroom environment, b) classroom community and empowerment in environmental education, c) in-service teacher professional development, and d) inquiry-based teaching.

Research Opportunities: Students and teachers conduct studies on misconceptions about climate change.
