Any high school junior or senior art student within a 50-mile radius of Edwardsville, Illinois will be eligible to enter one art entry in any medium, two-dimensional or three-dimensional.
Number of entries – Only 1 entry per student and only a total of 2 entries per instructor (i.e. if an instructor has 10 students who wish to submit, only 2 will be allowed to enter. The instructor will be responsible for determining which pieces are submitted).
Paintings must be suitably framed and equipped with screw eyes and braided wire placed 5” down from the top of the frame on the back side. A size limitation of 48” x 60” must be imposed because of the limited exhibition space. All work executed on paper must be displayed in double-hinged mats and covered with acetate or Plexiglas (no glass) and equipped with sturdy hanging devices. Three-dimensional objects such as ceramics, stone, wood, terra cotta, steel, bronze, plaster, fiber and metal must not exceed 6 feet in any dimension or 100 lbs. in gross weight. PLEASE BE SURE THAT ALL ENTRIES CORRESPOND TO THE ABOVE REGULATIONS!
Works will be rejected if regulations are not followed.
Works must be “hand-delivered” to the Art Gallery on the second floor of the Morris University Center (MUC) at the time indicated on the calendar. Two entry tags must be securely fastened to the upper-left of the back of two-dimensional work or to the side of three-dimensional work.
Please note: Entry forms (or parts thereof) not completed will result in disqualification.
Work entered for the exhibition must have an insurance value specified on the entry form. The work will be insured through the pick-up date.
Please note: if no insurance value is indicated, the piece will not be insured.
Work not picked up by the stated date will become the property of the SIUE Art and Design Department
