The Department of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is again sponsoring the Annual High School Art Exhibition. The exhibition will include work from both junior and senior level high school art students.
The 2013 exhibition is scheduled for Monday, February 25th through Tuesday, March 12th . The closing reception will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12th in the Art Gallery in Morris University Center (MUC). The reception will be open to all students, parents, teachers, and friends. During the reception, awards will be announced.
Junior and senior level high school students within a 50-mile radius of Edwardsville, Illinois are eligible to compete in the exhibition. Each entrant may submit only one work, either two-dimensional or three-dimensional, and each teacher may only submit 2 entries.
A juror will select an exhibition of outstanding art work that will be on view in the Art Gallery in the Morris University Center (MUC). Of the art works selected for the show, the juror will determine the award winners in terms of outstanding creativity and craftsmanship. Cash awards are made available for this exhibition from the SIUE Friends of Art.
