Dr. Klorer received her Master's degree from George Washington University, and her doctorate from Union Institute and University. She teaches assessment, child and adolescent art therapy, the Head Start fieldwork, and provides practicum supervision. Dr. Klorer's clinical practice is specialized in the area of child abuse, trauma, and attachment disorders. She presents her work in regional, national and international venues. Dr. Klorer is author of Expressive Therapy with Traumatized Children (2017, Rowman and Littlefield Publishers), as well as numerous journal articles, reviews, and book chapters. Dr. Klorer is the recipient of several national awards including the Clinician's Award and Honorary Lifetime Member of the American Art Therapy Association. She is on the Editorial Boards of Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association and Artizein.
