Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Undergraduate Tuition and Fees

Students taking 16 hours and above, add the hourly tuition rate per semester hour for tuition, and $12.30 per semester for the Textbook Rental Fee, $7.05 per semester hour for the Information Technology Fee, and $19 per semester hour for the Facilities Maintenance Fee.
After the initial 4-year/48 month tuition guarantee expires, the tuition rate for those students is increased to the next Guaranteed Tuition Rate, at which it remains for two additional years. Additionally, students who entered in the spring semester begin paying the next Tuition Rate in the spring semester (4 years later); likewise for students who entered in the summer term.
Direct Exchange - SIUE students studying abroad pay SIUE tuition and the IT Fee only.
Direct Exchange - Students from abroad do not pay SIUE tuition, but pay all SIUE mandatory fees.
Study Abroad - SIUE students pay only the Study Abroad program fee, currently $75. (All tuition & fees are paid to host institutions.)
School of Dental Medicine and School of Pharmacy students are assessed fees at the 12-hour level for fall and spring semesters.
School of Dental Medicine students also are charged an Instrument Rental Fee of $314 per academic year ($157 per semester) and a Dental Student Facility and Equipment Use Fee of $3,200 per academic year ($1,600 per semester), included in totals above. They are not assessed the Textbook Rental Fee or the Student-to-Student Grant Fee.
School of Pharmacy students are not assessed the Textbook Rental Fee or the Student-to-Student Grant Fee. However, these students are assessed a SOP Student Technology Fee of $235 per semester, included in totals above.
School of Nursing-Nurse Anesthesia students are not assessed the Textbook Rental Fee or the Student-to-Student Grant Fee. However, these students are assessed a Clinical Fee of $4,600 per semester, beginning with their clinical practicum in the 4th semester.
Off-Campus students pay no fees except a $50 per-credit-hour Course Delivery Fee and $6.85 per semester hour for the Information Technology Fee. Tuition rates for off-campus students are the same as the on-campus tuition rates.
