STAT
STAT - Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow, is the new student alumni association created by the SIUE Alumni Association. The mission of STAT is to enhance the personal, academic and professional development of students of SIUE - past, present and future - through the establishing and maintaining of mutually beneficial relationships with SIUE alumni, the SIUE Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Affairs. The purpose of the organization is to encourage students to interact with alumni before graduation through social and educational networking opportunities.
The goal of STAT is to partner current students with alumni mentors in their chosen field of study. STAT will also provide opportunities for current students to mentor area high school and prospective students. During alumni mentoring opportunities, students could have the chance to job shadow their mentor, have their resume critiqued and participate in mock interviews.
