Join the SIUE Alumni Association for Speednetworking Thursday, April 30th at the Morris University Center.
This social networking event brings together SIUE students and alumni professionals. Based on the format of speed dating, attendees will have five minutes to network with each new person you meet. Once the five minutes is up, you will move to the next person and continue networking. Students will practice his or her "elevator speech" and learn how to make a good first impression. Alumni will talk about their post-college job experience and possible employer or industry contacts. You'll have a chance to mix and mingle even more during the social networking portion of the event. This is a fun and informal way to network with students and other SIUE graduates.

Alumni Volunteer Information
Volunteers are still needed to serve as the Speednetworking contacts. Each alumni volunteer will be assigned to a table and participants will rotate among alumni every five minutes. There will be time before and after Speednetworking for you to network with other alumni. Even though you'll be modeling effective networking techniques for participants, we hope you will also find the experience useful for your own professional development.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the online volunteer form. Please take a moment to review the "What to Expect" sheet before volunteering.
Volunteers are also needed to mingle with attendees during the social networking hours and serve as substitutes when Speednetworking contacts need to take a break. If you are interested in helping in this capacity, please e-mail kabenne@siue.edu.
