The SIUE Alumni Association is looking for leaders! Whether you enjoy planning events, helping students or advocating for your alma mater, there’s a place for you on one of the newly-structured Alumni Association committees: the Awards & Scholarships Committee, Alumni Advocacy Committee, Mentoring Committee and Alumni Engagement Committee. Scholarships Available Now to Students

SIUE Women's Basketball Pink Zone Game Feb. 16

Alumni, we need your help! Please join us in spreading the word to future SIUE alumni about the many scholarships available to them through the SIUE Alumni Association. The SIUE Alumni Association provides a number of scholarships each year to new and current students, including the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, the Stalschmidt Family Legacy Scholarship and the new SIUE Alumni Association Board of Directors Scholarship, which will be awarded to students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and campus and community involvement.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, join the SIUE Women’s Basketball team and the St. Louis affiliate of Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer. Alumni are invited to enjoy food and drinks in our Alumni Hospitality Room before and after the game against Austin Peay State University, and during halftime. Room opens at 3:30 p.m.; game starts at 4 p.m.

Alumni can participate in a variety of activities to support Komen for the Cure, including a Bucket Raffle and a Run/Walk/Bike Challenge. Alumni tickets are discounted at $7 each and include food, drink, $5 concessions voucher and access to the Men’s Basketball Game against Austin Peay at 7 p.m. at no additional cost! School of Engineering Annual Awards Banquet Feb. 21

School of Engineering Hosts South Korean Delegation

Please plan to join us for the School of Engineering Annual Awards Banquet from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. This great event enables us to honor our outstanding students, faculty and alumni. A delegation of four administrators from Tongmyong University, South Korea visited SIUE's School of Engineering on January 15-16. The administrators met with top SIUE officials, including Chancellor Julie Furst-Bowe and Dean Hasan Sevim. Their main objective was to discuss the establishment of a 2+2 program with SIUE in mechanical, industrial, electrical and computer engineering, and computer science programs. Nominate an Alumnus for the CLI Alumni Leadership Award

2+2 Agreement: SIUE School of Engineering and Lewis and Clark Community College

SIUE and the Construction Leadership Institute (CLI) Advisory Board will introduce the Construction Leadership Institute Alumni Leadership Award this spring. The award will recognize an outstanding graduate of the CLI program and honor the individual’s exceptional contributions to the building community through their leadership, character and hard work. The initial award will be conferred as a part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the program, which will be held in the SIUE School of Engineering atrium on Friday, March 1. Read the full story on the School of Engineering website. In September, SIUE's School of Engineering signed a 2+2 Program agreement with Lewis and Clark Community College. The agreement allows a student to spend the first two academic years at Lewis and Clark followed by two years at SIUE to obtain a bachelor’s degree in civil, computer, electrical, industrial, manufacturing or mechanical engineering. The SIUE Society of Women Engineers presents its first annual "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day," an event to give girls an introduction to the field of engineering, with hands-on activities, new friends and fun.
