| 1. Where is Birger Hall and what are the Alumni Office hours? Birger Hall is across from the Vadalabene Center. Click here for a map of the campus. The Alumni Office is on the first floor of Birger Hall in the Ralph and Donna Korte Alumni Wing. The office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm. 2. What benefits do I get for joining the SIUE Alumni Association? A listing of benefits can be found online. This list is constantly being updated. If you would like to add your business as an additional benefit, call the Alumni Association office at 618-650-2760. 3. I am a graduate of SIUC, do my benefits carry over? Since the schools have two separate Alumni Associations that work on different budgets, the benefits are unable to carry over from school to school. 4. Where does my alumni hangtag allow me to park? The hangtag allows you to park in the brown Vadalabene Center and the lots that are marked red at any time. If you return as a student or employee of SIUE you must purchase a hangtag from parking services. 5. Is it possible to receive the Alestle? Yes, you can sign up to receive the Alestle twice a week via email. Simply visit the website at http://www.thealestle.com/user/register/ and fill out the form to receive the paper. 6. Is a membership to the Student Fitness Center included in my Alumni Association Membership? Membership to the Student Fitness Center is not included in your benefits; however, a reduced rate is given to members of the Alumni Association. For a current listing of membership fees call (618) 650-BFIT. 7. How can I contact a former classmate? The easiest way to contact a former classmate is to check the online community which lists email addresses of former SIUE students who have chosen to list their email online. Due to privacy laws and other security issues, the SIUE Alumni Association office does not give out any personal information. However, if we have an updated address for the Alumnus/a, we can either forward your note or write a brief contact letter on your behalf. And, check back soon for more information on our new online community - Cougar Tracks! 8. Can I get a permanent email address? At this time permanent email addresses are not available for alumni. 9. Does my Alumni Association membership allow me to use the computer labs? No. Currently the University only has enough computers to accommodate students. 10. How do I get a copy of my transcripts?
