SIUE Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Scholarship Information

The SIUE Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship is made possible through fundraisers, events and membership dues.

The Alumni Association’s Board of Directors awards two full scholarships- one to a current undergraduate student and one to an incoming SIUE freshman - in addition to five $500 scholarships.

The SIUE Alumni Association, as the voice of SIUE alumni, will foster the advancement of SIUE alumni and will strive to support SIUE, its students and the community.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be the children, grandchildren, siblings OR spouses of SIUE alumni; AND
• Be a current undergraduate student OR an incoming freshman at SIUE.

Applicants are judged not only on their GPA and ACT/SAT scores, but also on their community service, after-school activities and financial need. Past recipients are permitted to re-apply for scholarship renewal. Scholarships are one-time awards and go directly to the SIUE Bursar for payment of tuition.

Application Process

Applications for the 2014-2015 SIUE Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship must be postmarked by Thursday, February 27, 2014.  Applications can be mailed to:

Applications can also be faxed to (618) 650-3694.  Faxes must be received by 5pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014.

All applicants will receive confirmation of the receipt of their application via e-mail within one week of receipt. For additional information or for any questions you may have concerning the scholarship, please call the SIUE Alumni Association office at (618) 650-2760.
