SIUE Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Scholarship Information

The SIUE Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship is made possible through fundraisers, events and membership dues that are raised each year.

The Alumni Association’s Board of Directors awards two full scholarships- one to a current undergraduate student and one to an incoming SIUE freshman- in addition to five $500 scholarships.

The SIUE Alumni Association, as the voice of SIUE alumni, will foster the advancement of SIUE alumni and will strive to support SIUE, its students, and the community.

Eligibility

The children, grandchildren, siblings and spouses of SIUE alumni who are current Alumni Association members are eligible to receive this award. Applicants are judged not only on their GPA and ACT/SAT scores, but also on their community service, after-school activities and financial need. Past recipients are permitted to re-apply for scholarship renewal. Scholarships are one-time awards and go directly to the SIUE Bursar for payment of tuition.

Alumni who are not Association members but who have a son or daughter, grandchild or sibling who is interested in the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship must become Association members prior to the submission of the scholarship application.

All applicants will receive confirmation of the receipt of their application. For additional information or for any questions you may have concerning the scholarship, please call the SIUE Alumni Association office at (618) 650-2760.
