10 Easy (and Helpful!) Tasks for Alumni Ambassadors:

1. Wear your SIUE apparel with pride!
    
2. Plan a visit to campus … maybe Homecoming week or Preview day?
    
3. Encourage other alumni friends to join Alumni Ambassadors.
    
4. Mention SIUE while at work or play.
    
5. Give a prospective student our Web site: www.siue.edu.
    
6. Offer to mentor a local high school student interested in attending SIUE.
    
7. Contact a former professor or adviser to reconnect with the department or organization and update her or him on your life.
    
8. Pass on SIUE materials to a prospective student in your community.
    
9. Stop by the SIUE booth at the Illinois State Fair in August.
    
10. Make plans to meet up with other local Alumni Ambassadors to share your experiences!
     

New! Adopt-A-High-School Program

SIUE Admission Counselors travel to many high schools across Illinois and Missouri, but unfortunately, we can’t visit them all! By introducing yourself to a local high school and providing updated SIUE materials, you will be making an important connection for the University. We want to ensure that prospective students and their counselors get their questions answered and stay up to date on opportunities at SIUE. If you would like more information, please fill out our Adopt-A-High-School form.

Chat SIUE
This online, live chat session is offered to give prospective and admitted students a chance to have their questions answered, and to hear about SIUE from “real” students and alumni. Chats are held monthly from September through April. For details, visit the Chat Web page.
