Admitted Visiting Student Checklist

Welcome to the SIUE Community! We're excited you've decided to visit our University. Please review the following information carefully for your next steps to complete your enrollment at SIUE.

Apply and be admitted - Congratulations!

	Activate your e-ID - Your e-ID is most important in assisting you as you enroll at SIUE. You will need to request a password at siue.edu/eid.
	Check Your SIUE Email Account (https://connect.siue.edu) - Your SIUE email is especially important because financial aid, payment information and updates will be sent to it.
	Check CougarNet (siue.edu.cougarnet) - CougarNet is the secure way to manage your personal, academic and financial aid information. Also, use CougarNet to check details regarding any college level credit you would be transferring to SIUE. Approximately 15 working days after (if not sooner), you can check CougarNet to review your transfer credit. For more details about this process contact the Transfer Center (siue.edu/transfer).
	Complete Your Registration - Please refer below for Re-Entry registration information.

Visiting Registration (This admission status indicates you are not pursuing a degree at SIUE.)

Registration occurs at the Service Center - Rendleman Hall, Room 1309. Information regarding registration is available at siue.edu/registrar/visiting.

The following restrictions apply:

• You may enroll in any undergraduate course for which you have satisfied appropriate prerequisites. You may be required to present evidence of prerequisite completion.
• Enrollment in graduate-level classes is not permitted.
• Credit earned as a visiting student is not applicable toward a degree at SIUE.
• Credit earned while in visiting status cannot exceed 30 semester hours at SIUE.
• You may not be eligible for veterans' educational benefits or most other forms of financial assistance. Check with your home institution to see if you are eligible to receive aid through a consortium agreement. Please contact Student Financial Aid at (618) 650-3880 if you have questions regarding financial aid or student employment.

If you wish to pursue an undergraduate degree program at SIUE in the future, you will need to apply for admission to the University as a degree-seeking student. To be reclassified, you must satisfy the appropriate admission requirements. Please refer to the Office of Admissions web page (siue.edu/admissions) for admission eligibility requirements.
