This program includes academic advisement and course registration, but also assists students in learning about the resources for success at SIUE. All sessions are either Tuesday-Wednesday or Thursday-Friday.
The Springboard to Success registration fee is $150.00. This fee covers your registration for Springboard to Success and your enrollment deposit to the University. This fee is non-refundable regardless of time of cancellation.
Parents/guests are also encouraged to attend Springboard to Success. The parent/guest fee is $20.00. The parent/guest fee can be paid at the time of the students registration or upon arrival to the program. If you plan to pay upon arrival, please have cash or check payable to SIUE. Credit/debit cards will not be accepted at the door.

Students entering the University arrive with varying levels of competence in reading, writing and math. It is important that all students entering the University begin taking courses at a level that is appropriate for their continued success.
To register for a placement test(s), visit siue.edu/is/test.
If you would like more information about taking your placement test(s) at a location near you, you must contact Testing Services at (618) 650-1246. Please know your student identification number and which placement test(s) you need to take.
At SIUE, academic advising is mandatory, which means you must meet with an Academic Advisor before registering for classes. You will meet with your Academic Advisor at Springboard to Success but in order for our advisors to better prepare for your visit, we would like you to fill out the following New Student Academic Advising Information form.
After Springboard to Success, your journey begins with move in day on August 15, 2013 (if you are living in University Housing) and continues for all new freshman throughout the weekend of August 16-18, 2013.
As part of SIUE's commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, an array of exciting and contemporary topics are offered as New Freshman Seminar (NFS) courses for the Class of 2016. Courses designated as NFS are designed to encourage student success by integrating students, intellectually and culturally, into the SIUE community.
