Schedule and Take Appropriate Placement Test(s) - Placement tests should be completed as soon as possible and prior to your academic advising appointment in order to allow for proper advisement. Please refer below for Placement Examination Information.
Activate your e-ID - Your e-ID is most important in assisting you as you enroll at SIUE. You will need to request a password at siue.edu/eid.
Check Your SIUE Email Account (https://connect.siue.edu) - Your SIUE email is especially important because financial aid, payment information and updates will be sent to it.
Check CougarNet (siue.edu.cougarnet) - CougarNet is the secure way to manage your personal, academic and financial aid information. Also, use CougarNet to check details regarding any college level credit you would be transferring to SIUE. Approximately 15 working days after (if not sooner), you can check CougarNet to review your transfer credit. For more details about this process contact the Transfer Center (siue.edu/transfer).
Apply for Financial Aid (siue.edu/financialaid) - We advise you to do this as soon as possible. You can also check out the scholarships available to incoming fall freshman on the Financial Aid web page.
Register for Springboard to Success (siue.edu/springboard) - Springboard to Success is a mandatory pre-entry advisement and course registration program for freshman (and family members) that will jump-start your university experience. This program includes academic advising and course registration, but also assists students in learning about the resources for success at SIUE. Please refer to the Springboard to Success information below.
Apply for University Housing (siue.edu/housing/apply) - If you plan to live on campus as an incoming freshman you must apply for University Housing by May 1.
Complete and Submit the Health Immunization Form (siue.edu/healthservice) - The health immunization form must be completed by the first day of attendance.
Determine if you need to take Placement Tests. The University offers a variety of placement tests in the areas of Intermediate Algebra, College Level Reading, Writing and Chemistry Readiness.
To determine your placement tests needs, test dates and additional information contact Testing Services (siue.edu/is/test).
Register Now for Springboard to Success! Springboard to Success is a mandatory summer orientation program, which will include advising and registering for classes. All incoming fall freshman are required to attend Springboard to Success.

Apply for Housing
If you plan to live on campus, submit your housing application and deposit by May 1, 2013. For more information, visit siue.edu/housing/apply.
After Springboard to Success, your journey begins with move in on August 15, 2013 (if you are living on campus) and continues for all new freshman throughout the weekend of August 16-18, 2013.
