SIUE offers professional programs leading to the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
The SIU School of Dental Medicine, located in Alton, Illinois, is second in the nation in final scoring on national board dental exams. As the only dental school in Illinois outside Cook County, and the only dental school within 250 miles of the St. Louis metropolitan area, the School serves as a vital oral healthcare provider for Southern Illinois.
The SIUE School of Pharmacy, which admitted its inaugural class of Doctor of Pharmacy students in August 2005, is quickly gaining national recognition as one of the best pharmacy programs in the country. The program of study is based on current knowledge and technology from pharmacy and other disciplines, and is delivered through a variety of innovative teaching strategies.
