TLTR Meeting of Feb. 13, 2001

A Summary

Dr. Kathryn Martell, Associate Dean of the School of Business gave the faculty demonstration.  Dr. Martell briefed the TLTR on the School of Business' use of technology to bridge the international gap with business students at SIUE and in Mexico.  The project is creative, draws students' interest, and has received national recognition.

The TLTR Task Groups each gave a progress report of their activities.  Everyone was asked to review the information on current processes and initiative and forward their remarks to Lynn Dieterich, convener of the group reviewing the current status.

It was noted that some of the work in the various groups is beginning to coverage or overlap, a positive sign as the work evolves.

The next TLTR meeting will be Tuesday, March 20th from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Lovejoy Library Conference Room.  Final reports on current tasks will be presented.  The Steering Committee will review the reports and bring "next steps" to the April meeting.

The work of the seven Task Groups has resulted in thoughtful reflection, specific recommendations that will contribute to an overall technology plan.
