U.S. Marine Corps combat engineers with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, cross a dried creek bed while on patrol searching for caves in Khowst, Afghanistan, Aug. 18, 2004. The battalion is currently conducting vehicle checkpoints and village assessments while maintaining an offensive presence throughout the region in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
