The following are events/trips/speakers/volunteer activities we’ve either completed or are working on for the 2009-2010 school year. |

Past and future events |
|
So far this year we’ve really become an active organization on campus. We’ve toured SIU School of Medicine in Springfield and Washington University of St Louis School of Medicine. Many speakers have come to present to our club, including SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, Des Moines University (Medical school, podiatry school), Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine, American University of Antigua College of Medicine, and the RMED program (rural medicine program for physicians) of University of Illinois. We’ve also had speakers from Princeton Review (admissions process session, MCAT strategy session), Kaplan (personal statement seminar) and the Air Force (Medical School Payment Program). We’ve hosted several practice MCATs of both the paper-form (through Kaplan) and computer-based (through Princeton Review) and a CPR (for healthcare providers) course. We’ve participated in the Up ‘til Dawn letter-writing campaign, Relay for Life (benefiting the American Cancer Society), and have cooked food for occupants at the Ronald McDonald House in St Louis. |
