The tenth 2006-2007 Chemistry Club Meeting was held Friday, March 16, 2007, at 1:30 p.m.  All officers were in attendance.

The 31st Annual Probst Lecture will be held on Monday, March 19, 2007.  If you are available to have lunch with the guest speaker, meet outside of Dr. O’Brian’s office at 11:45 a.m.  Lunch will be in the Morris University Restaurant courtesy of the Department of Chemistry.  Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m.  Dress is semi-casual.  Volunteers are still needed to help pass out name tags at dinner and extra credit passes.

Plans for the pentathlon are being discussed.  This event is normally held in the Vadalabene Center; however, this year’s pentathlon will be in Edwardsville High School’s gym from 5:00-10:00 p.m.  A date has not been set.  Another possibility is to wait until late April and hold the pentathlon on the same Saturday afternoon as the softball game.  Responses from the physics and biology clubs are still needed.

Immediately following today’s meeting we will be silk-screening articles of clothing in SL 2218.  Pizza and soda will be provided.

A canned food drive will be held March 26-28, 2007.  Boxes will be placed around the building to collect donated items.

Kimmel Awards will be submitted today in the following three categories:

  1. Outstanding Program of the Year
  2. Outstanding Organization of the Year
  3. Outstanding Advisor of the Year

The meeting was concluded at 1:45 p.m.
