Letter from the President
Dear Potential SHRM Member,
Thank you for your interest in SIUE’s Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). If you are a Human Resources major and join our organization, you will be provided with information and resources necessary to support your HR career goals. SHRM members who have not chosen HR as their career path will benefit from our organization by networking with current and future employers, and by participating in workshops that are helpful to all college students.
Our mission is to serve the needs of the soon-to-be HR professional by providing resources that will help further your HR career choice. However, we are also here for those who are not HR majors, and will support your academics by providing you information that any manager will find useful. SHRM is committed to helping you learn all you can about the HR profession, and to help all students obtain the necessary skills needed to excel once placed in a job.
SHRM intends to make the 2005-2006 academic year as successful as possible and we are excited that you are interested in our organization. The executive board welcomes you to participate in our events and to get involved with the administrative responsibilities. We hope that SHRM is a helpful resource in your career path and we will do all that we can to help ensure your success.
