A Little About Us...
Who we are: The Political Science Association is a new organization, started in the summer of 2002, open to all SIUE students who have an interest in politics and making an impact on campus life. The purpose of this organization is to promote political awareness and involvement across the campus community.
What we offer: The Association provides an environment that prepares its members for real-life situations. For Political Science majors, it means a chance to be with your peers and even attend workshops that help prepare students for a career in politics. But for all PSA members, the Association provides a chance to be in a group with others that share your same interests and where participation is encouraged from all. To summarize, the Political Science Association offers a comfortable environment to meet and make friends while encouraging political interest and awareness across campus.
How to join: As a new organization, you have the opportunity to play a large part of our growth and development and help with our projects and events. Meetings are held at least once a month, mainly on the second Monday (for meeting dates, events and more, check the calendar). This is a great opportunity to give something back to your school and your community, while at the same time gaining valuable experience. To join, you can contact Anthony Keeley at akeeley@siue.edu or come to one of our monthly meetings. The Political Science Association does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, creed, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, handicap, political affiliation or any other factor covered by law. We look forward to having you as part of our group.
