   ASME DESIGN TEAM WON REGIONALS

   The SIUE student section of ASME won in Region VII for the 2004 Student Design Competition.   The design group competed against 7 other teams from different schools.  The design group is now going to focus on improving the robot for the Finals in California. more

INTRODUCTION:

We are a student section of the national American Society of Mechanical Engineers organization. We are composed of Mechanical Engineering students from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of our organization is to give Mechanical Engineering students the opportunity to learn about the Mechanical Engineering field. Members participate in tours of industrial facilities, meetings with other student sections and senior sections of the national organization, design competitions, and fund raising activities.
