Welcome to the Psychology Club Website
The Psychology Club is dedicated toward providing a broad education to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville students, referring to psychology in the following aspects: a subject, a career, a science, an educational tool, an interest, and a social movement.BE A PSYCHOLOGY CLUB OFFICER
What are the benefits? You will meet other students in the department, build leadership skills, have your name known by professors, and add involvement on your curriculum vitae!How do you run? To be eligible to run for an officer position you must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a full member of Psychology Club for the 2009-2010 academic year by the time of elections. This means that you must have completed both of your event requirements prior to elections.
2. Be at least of sophomore standing at the beginning of the Fall 2010 term
3. Have a GPA of 2.5 or above.
4. Will not graduate prior to May of 2011 (e.g., you must be able and willing to serve a full term of 1 academic year - through the end of spring 2011).
Where can I find the list of officer descriptions? You can find the list on the Psychology Club on the information tab of our website or check our bulletin board.
Where do I turn in my application?
You must turn in the completed form along with a picture of yourself to Dr. Meinz's mailbox no later than Thursday, March 4. (Your information and picture will be posted on the board and web so voters can get to know you.) Voting will be held March 22-26. All members (both provisional and full) of the Psychology Club are eligible to vote and information about how to do so will be provided shortly before voting opens. We strongly encourage everyone to vote!
New officers will be announced early in April.
