Comparative Politics Resources     A general guide to a variety of resources on the internet for Comparative Politics. This site provides  links to information on Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. This site is hosted by the Department of Political Science, University of Colorado at Boulder.

Comparative and Foreign Governments on the Internet: Index     A comprehensive set of links to general and cross national information, as well as to foreign governments across the globe. This site is hosted by the University of British Columbia Library.

CSES     The Comparative Study of Electoral Systems not only allows researchers to conduct cross-level and cross-national analyses of the effects of electoral institutions on citizen's attitudes and behaviors, it allows researchers to  analyze the presence of social and political cleavages.  Information on the effects of democratic institutions across various regimes may is also available.

CountryWatch     Country Watch provides country specific intelligence information of each country in the world.

IDN     The International Development Network provides access to issues related to global development. Country profiles are also available.

USAID     The US Agency for International Development is a government agency providing US economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide.  This site provides access to the various programs and locations supported by USAID.

World Bank      The World Bank is one of the largest sources of assistance to developing economies.  Access a variety of materials (country and regional reports, data, projects and policies) at this site.

AFRICAN STUDIES

African Studies Internet Resources     This site provides online resources for African Studies Programs, regional and country studies, international organizations dealing specifically with Africa, and  electronic  journals and newspapers from across the continent. This site is hosted by the Columbia University Library.

ASIAN STUDIES
Asian Studies   This virtual library provides links to central and regional guides to Asian studies.  Included on this page are links to materials on the Caucasus, Central Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Pacific region, South Asia, and South East Asia. This site is hosted by the Virtual Library Organization.

Pacific Studies     This site is part of the South Pacific Information Network.  Included are:  catalogs of online resources, conference  listings and materials, maps, and journals.  This site is hosted by the Australian National University.

LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES

Latin American Network Information Center     LANIC provides various resources on Latin America, including: country studies, economic and governmental information, daily  news reports, and data bases. This site is hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.         

MIDDLE EAST STUDIES

Middle East Studies Internet Resources     This collection provides a variety of online resources, including: bibliographies, libraries, news sources, regional and country resources, and resources by subject.  This site is hosted by the Columbia University Library.

RUSSIAN AND EASTERN EUROPEAN STUDIES

REES Web   This site allows you to browse annotated links on subjects, geographical regions, culture and time periods. You can also conduct keyword searches from the site.  This site is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
WEST EUROPEAN STUDIES

Western European Studies   This site provides links to general European and National homepages, as well as to European Union resources. This site is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
