SCIENCES TITLE/RANK: Lecturer/Instructor DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Full-time, non-tenure, academic year term Instructor appointments and part-time, non-tenure, semester term Lecturer appointments available for AY2008-2009 and summer 2009 teaching in the departments of Anthropology (1451), Art & Design (1774), Biological Sciences (1651), Chemistry (1652), English Language & Literature (1431), Environmental Sciences (1099), Foreign Languages & Literature (1432), Geography (1459), Historical Studies (1454), Mass Communications (1775), Mathematics & Statistics (1653), Music (1771), Office of Science and Mathematics Education (2224), Philosophy (1433), Physics (1654), Political Science (1453), Public Administration & Policy Analysis (1457), Sociology & Criminal Justice Studies (1455), Social Work (1450), Speech Communication (1772), Theater & Dance (1777), and Women's Studies (1350). Advanced degree in discipline of instruction (or equivalent professional experience in fine arts) is required. TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Academic, beginning Fall 2008, Spring/Summer 2009. Percent of appointment is varied. SOURCE OF FUNDS: Local SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with training and experience. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Advanced degree in discipline of instruction (or equivalent professional experience in Fine Arts) is required.
