HIRING UNIT:      SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

TITLE/RANK:       Lecturer/Instructor (part-time and full-time positions)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:      Part-time and full-time teaching positions during FY09 in the School of Education in the following program areas:  Elementary Education; Secondary Education; Educational Administration; Educational Foundations; Special Education; Speech Pathology and Audiology; Instructional Technology; Kinesiology and Health Education; Gerontology; and Psychology.  Classes are typically scheduled for the semester and are taught on a daytime schedule or one night per week either on-campus or in communities within a 60-mile radius of the campus.  Some day classes are available.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:     Academic, beginning semester-by-semester.  Percent of appointment varies. 

SOURCE OF FUNDS:     State

SALARY RANGE:      Determined by union contract and load.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:        Ph.D. preferred.  Master's and Specialist's with specific expertise considered.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS:       Fall term - August 1, 2008; Spring term - December 1, 2008; and Summer term May 1, 2009.
