Description:
Rivers
Mathematics provides students a chance to develop the
mathematics skills necessary for assessing scientific data.
Students learn statistical methods and applications,
scientific measurement, and quantitative analysis techniques using
actual river data.
Lessons are designed primarily to support the other Rivers
Project unit’s mathematical needs.
The unit is designed to be taught by any teacher or by the
mathematics teacher.
Readiness tests are included to help teachers determine which
skills need to be covered or reviewed.
