Description:
The
chemistry unit is centered around chemical assessment of river or
stream ecosystems.
In chemistry,
students learn how to use chemistry to answer ecological questions.
Through experiences in water-quality testing, students will
increase scientific proficiency and gain a greater appreciation for
the real-world applications of chemistry.
The hands-on lab and field activities allow students to take
an active role in working for the natural environment.
Included in the ten units are those on water quality
chemistry, as well as, appendices on assessment tools, assessment
techniques, and lab procedure
