4 Steps for applying to the Music Masters Program for US Residents:
Contact the Department of Music by phone (618) 650-3900 to request the Graduate Information Packet. The packet contains all of the information you will need to know concerning the degree program, a departmental brochure and the Application to the Graduate School. Students apply first through the Graduate School, which upon acceptance, forwards an approval form to the Department of Music. The Graduate School procedures can be found here.
Apply to the Graduate School using either the application sent to you in the Graduate Information Packet, or online at http://www.siue.edu/graduate/apply/index.shtml. The new page will appear in a new window.
If you are applying for the Master of Music Performance, contact the appropriate Music Department faculty member (listed in your Graduate Information Packet) to arrange a graduate audition. If you are unable to audition in person, you will need the permission of the appropriate faculty member to submit a recorded audition.
If you wish to also apply for a Graduate Assistantship in the Music Department, then you will need to complete the Music Assistantship Application Form, available both in the Graduate Information Packet and available online in PDF format for downloading and printing. Click here to download the Music Assistantship Application Form after you have been officially notified of acceptance to the Graduate School. It will appear in a new window.
