Cut masking tape into short narrow strips peeling the edge back for ease in pulling off, cover the words. |

Teacher and class read the story in unison or echo. |

At the covered words the students predict what the word is using context clues. If correct the tape comes off continue through out the story. |

Focus discussion on how context was used to
determine the appropriate words.
